Mission Alignment Booster
TMJ Consultants has worked with hundreds of nonprofits over the years, each having different missions and diverse services and each at various stages in terms of their organizational capacity. The concern among them all was whether they had the ability to sustain their organizations.

Empowered Nonprofit Society
Each month, Empowered Nonprofit Society members receive a masterclass on specific topics that provide continued support in the development of organizational leadership and development capacity.
In this entirely virtual program, members will have access to online courses, trainings, and expert guest speakers, and our consultants will be available to respond to questions. Topics will cover a variety of nonprofit interests, including fundraising tips during the COVID-19 pandemic, common grant writing mistakes, nonprofit branding, setting up ideal governance structures, and more. There will be opportunities for subscribers to suggest topics. Empowered Nonprofit Society members will be offered new topics the first Tuesday of each month. Live trainings will occur at 7:00 p.m. (Eastern).

Mission Alignment Consulting
Our one-on-one, concierge-level consulting services provide a specialized, comprehensive assessment of your organization with tailor-made assistance that goes beyond a mission alignment or strategic roadmap. The Impact of Our Work
TMJ Consultants worked with a nonprofit that desired to develop affordable housing for first-time homebuyers in the community; however, the nonprofit did not have the capacity to provide this program. TMJ Consultants assessed their organization and identified the gaps in their ability to create and implement a housing program. The organization understood its limits and made the adjustments that were necessary to build its capacity for housing development. In less than one year of making the adjustments, the organization started building affordable housing and developed other community initiatives. The nonprofit created a successful housing strategic plan and established partnerships with foundations, city government, and other community stakeholders that helped them to initially build 10 houses. To date, it continues to provide affordable housing for first-time homebuyers.
Another nonprofit sought our assistance to expand the organization’s after-school educational program. This organization had a desire to increase its enrollment to accommodate more students who needed tutorial assistance. After an initial assessment of its governance, staff capacity and programs, TMJ Consultants developed strategies that helped to double after-school enrollment. Now, there is such a high demand for the program that it continues to have a waiting list of students wanting to get in.
